Recap

Baylor's high-powered passing attack proved too much for Kansas State to handle in this Big 12 matchup, as the Bears maintained their grip on the belt with a 35-25 victory in Manhattan. The game featured a shootout between the two offenses, with Bryce Petty's aerial assault -- highlighted by a 93-yard touchdown pass to Tevin Reese in the second quarter and a 72-yard scoring strike to Antwan Goodley just before halftime -- building an early lead that Baylor would never relinquish. Kansas State's ground-heavy attack, led by Daniel Sams' four rushing touchdowns, kept the Wildcats competitive throughout, but they couldn't overcome Baylor's explosive passing plays and time-of-possession disadvantage. The Bears put the game out of reach with another Reese touchdown reception for 54 yards in the fourth quarter, sealing the belt-holder's successful title defense.
