Recap

Baylor dominated this bowl game from start to finish, scoring on five of their first six possessions to build a commanding 35-3 halftime lead. Nick Florence led a surgical passing attack, connecting with Terrance Williams twice in the first quarter including a 48-yard completion, while the ground game was equally devastating with Glasco Martin and Lache Seastrunk punching in multiple touchdowns. UCLA's Brett Hundley kept his team in the game with two touchdown passes to Shaquelle Evans and Joseph Fauria, but the Bruins' historically poor third-down conversion rate (1-17) and lack of offensive rhythm proved fatal. Baylor's defense suffocated UCLA's passing game for most of the night, and despite three turnovers, the Bears' early onslaught was too much to overcome, allowing them to cruise to a 26-49 victory and retain the belt.

Terrance Williams' 48-yard reception in Q1 set up the tone for Baylor's explosive first quarter and showcased the Bears' dominant passing attack
Lache Seastrunk's 43-yard rushing touchdown with 1:58 left in the half effectively put the game out of reach at 35-3
UCLA's inability to convert third downs (1-17) crippled their offensive drives throughout the game despite two touchdown passes from Hundley
Glasco Martin's three rushing touchdowns demonstrated Baylor's overwhelming ground game dominance
