Recap

Baylor's defense dominated the second half to preserve the College Football Belt with a 42-31 victory over Iowa State. The first half was a shootout, with Iowa State striking first on a 40-yard touchdown run by A. Flora in the opening quarter, but Baylor answered with three second-quarter scoring drives capped by D. Lagway's 54-yard rushing touchdown and a goal-line fumble recovery for six points to take a 28-17 halftime lead. Iowa State kept pace early in the second half, but Baylor's offense erupted with two more touchdowns in the third quarter—a 62-yard pass from Lagway to T. Williams Jr. and a 33-yard rushing score by R. Morris—to effectively put the game away at 42-10 before Iowa State scored twice in garbage time.

A. Flora's 40-yard touchdown run in Q1 gave Iowa State an early 10-0 lead and set the tone for an offensive shootout
D. Lagway's 54-yard rushing touchdown in Q2 and the subsequent goal-line fumble recovery for a touchdown gave Baylor a 28-17 halftime advantage
Lagway's 62-yard touchdown pass to T. Williams Jr. in Q3 extended Baylor's lead to 35-10 and effectively decided the belt game
R. Morris's 33-yard rushing touchdown in Q3 pushed Baylor's lead to 42-10, with Iowa State unable to mount a meaningful comeback
