Recap

Washington's defense proved stifling in this defensive struggle, with the Huskies holding the belt despite a lopsided yardage advantage for Arizona State. The Sun Devils dominated time of possession 37:29 to 22:31 and rushed for 145 yards, but Washington's defense forced four turnovers and limited ASU to just 15 points. Michael Penix Jr. was intercepted twice early in the game, but Washington's kicker Grady Gross made three field goals to secure the 15-7 victory. Arizona State's only touchdown came on a Cameron Skattebo 1-yard run in the second quarter, while ASU's late interception return for a touchdown by Mishael Powell (89 yards in the fourth quarter) and subsequent two-point conversion failure sealed their fate with just minutes remaining.

Grady Gross's three field goals (24, 47, and 24 yards) providing the offensive firepower Washington needed in a low-scoring affair
Michael Penix Jr.'s two first-half interceptions and fumble recovery by ASU that could have derailed Washington but the defense held firm
Cameron Skattebo's 1-yard touchdown run in Q2 giving Arizona State a 7-3 lead but failing to extend it further
Mishael Powell's 89-yard interception return for a touchdown in Q4 that failed on the two-point conversion, representing Arizona State's last real chance to win
