Champion Notes: QB Graham Harrell is now the leading passer in Red Raiders' Belt game history. WR Michael Crabtree is the Texas Tech career Belt game scoring leader. Coach Mike Leach remains undefeated in Belt games & tops the Coaches' winning percentage list. The Red Raiders are 0-1 against Oklahoma in Belt games losing the 1992 season opener 34-9. Texas Tech is 4-11 over all against the Sooners including 1-6 in Norman. Their only win came in 1996.
Challenger Notes: Oklahoma will have their first chance at The Belt since 2004 when they fell to Southern Cal. The Sooners only Belt reign came in 1992 when they defeated Texas Tech to claim the title. Coach Bob Stoops only Belt experience came in the loss to Southern Cal.
