College Football Belt Champions
January 2007 -- While the Florida Gators bask in their championship win during the off-season, we will review the Top 25 Belt champions since 1972. This ranking is based on several factors including a team's won/loss records, opponents, & Belt wins. The ranking is restricted to a single season so teams that held the title over an off-season can appear in the rankings multiple times; once for each regular season. Special emphasis is placed on Belt wins as I believe that it is harder to remain champion when you are marked as the champion. This is not necessarily a ranking of the best teams but of the best champions. As everyone knows, these list are created to generate interest & conversation.
