The 10^th ranked, 5-1 Texas A&M Aggies of coach R.C. Slocum traveled to Waco to meet the 2-3 Baylor Bears of coach Dave Roberts.  Texas A&M's RB Dante Hall rushed for 137 yards with a touchdown while QB Randy McCown rushed for a touchdown & threw for 195 yards with a touchdown as the Aggies rolled to a rain-soaked 35-14 victory to retain The Belt.  The Aggies’ scored 5 touchdowns on drives of 64, 84, 79, 80, & 70 yards, as the Bears’ defense was unable to stop the Texas A&M offense.  Hall scored on a 37-yard touchdown run in the 1^st quarter & McCown scored on a 2-yard touchdown run in the 2^nd quarter as the Aggies took a 14-0 lead at halftime.  Texas A&M's WR Chris Taylor took a reverse 61 yards for a touchdown late in the 3^rd quarter as Aggies continued to dominate.  The Bears finally got on the scoreboard when RB Elijah Burkins scored on a 1-yard touchdown run to make the score Texas A&M 21 Baylor 7 heading into the 4^th quarter.  The Aggies sealed the victory with a halfback option pass from RB Sirr Parker to TE Derrick Spiller for a 17-yard touchdown.  Baylor added a 29-yard touchdown pass from QB Odell James to WR Morris Anderson & the Aggies got a 3-yard touchdown run from RB Ja’Mar Toombs to complete the scoring.  James finished with 114 yards passing with a touchdown & an interception in the loss.  Texas A&M controlled nearly every aspect of the game; out-gaining the Bears 535-242.  Texas A&M finished the season 11-3; Big XII Champions, ranked 11^th nationally while the Bears finished 2-9 in Roberts final season.  Baylor has not played for The Belt again.
