The 1-0 Air Force Falcons of coach Fisher DeBerry hosted the Wyoming Cowboys of coach Joe Tiller. The Falcons rushed for 426 yards, had no turnovers or penalties, & held the ball for 34:50 to claim The Belt for the first time with a methodical 34-10 win. The Falcons got the only points of the 1st quarter when PK Randy Roberts hit a 39-yard field goal. Air Force pushed the lead to 17-0 at the half with a 5-yard touchdown pass from All-WAC QB Beau Morgan to RB Jake Campbell & a 1-yard touchdown run by Morgan. Air Force pushed the lead to 24-0 in the 3rd quarter on a 1-yard touchdown run from RB Tom Brown before Wyoming finally got on the board when All-WAC PK Cory Wedel hit a 35-yard field goal. Brown scored on a 37-yard touchdown run 0:30 into the 4th quarter giving the Falcons a 31-3 lead. The Cowboys only touchdown of the game came when QB Josh Wallwork found All-WAC WR Marcus Harris on a 12-yard touchdown pass. The Falcons finished the scoring with a 30-yard field goal by Roberts. Morgan finished with just 34 yards passing with a touchdown as well as 44 yards rushing with his touchdown while running the Falcons' wishbone offense & Brown finished with 99 yards rushing with his 2 touchdowns for the Falcons. For Wyoming, Wallwork threw for 301 yards with a touchdown as well as an interception, WR Brent Tillman had 8 catches for 100 yards, & Harris added 7 catches for 120 to his touchdown. The Cowboys finished the season 6-5 while the Falcons finished 8-5 & WAC Co-Champs. Wyoming would play for The Belt again in 1996.
